Tau Beta Pi’s Mentor-Mentee Program focuses on helping engineering
undergraduate students (primarily freshman and sophomores) connect with Tau
Beta Pi members in the same major. By making connections between these two
groups of engineering students we hope to aid participants in the Mentor-Mentee
program in their selection of classes, provide input regarding professors,
and help them get to know the engineering community at UCSD better.
Tau Beta Pi mentors can also direct students to get help with course
specific tutoring if needed. There are many Tau Beta Pi activities that
will be held throughout the year such as movie nights, paintballing,
bowling, etc. for Mentee’s to meet and socialize with other Mentee’s and Tau
Beta Pi members. This program provides an invaluable insight on major
specific questions as well as a social network within the engineering
community at UCSD.
